As mentioned on the podcast, if you are visiting Montana State Parks, if you are out of state, you’ll either need to pay at each park (most of which have self serve pay stations) or purchase an annual pass. We quickly made our money back by buying the annual state park pass. If you visit one of the more developed state parks (which Rosebud was not) you can purchase at the visitors center. Or you can purchase online before your trip.
